Western Wear Dress Code
9th-12th Grades

Learning how to dress appropriately for all occasions continues to be an important part of what we do! I hear so many frustrating stories from adults about young professionals not wearing business-appropriate attire, so now is a great time to start laying the groundwork for our students.
Parents, thank you for helping guide your student in their choices!

A Western professional dress code, often seen in business casual or more formal settings, involves incorporating elements of Western wear into a polished, appropriate outfit. This can range from subtle details like a bolo tie or cowboy boots to more prominent pieces like a Western-style blazer or a patterned button-down shirt. The key is to blend the ruggedness of Western attire with the sophistication expected in a professional environment.

LADIES:
Dresses: Flowing dresses with subtle Western details (like fringe or embroidery) or a classic sheath dress paired with Western-inspired accessories can be a great choice.
Tops and Bottoms: A Western-style blouse or 'pearl snap' top paired with nice jeans (no holes) or a skirt can also create a nice professional look.
Footwear: Cowboy boots or stylish booties can add a fun Western touch, while flats or loafers can be more appropriate for a casual setting.
Accessories: A statement belt, a silk scarf (wild rag), or a bolo tie can elevate the outfit.
GENTLEMEN:
Shirts: Consider a classic Western 'pearl snap' shirt (plaid or solid) in a neutral color (nothing too flashy) or a chambray shirt. If you don't have a Western-style shirt, a basic button-down dress shirt will work.
Pants: Well-fitting jeans (no holes), or, depending on the setting, dress slacks. Choose a dark-wash jean for a more elevated look.
Footwear: Cowboy boots are great if you have them; if not, choose a style that complements the overall look. For example, sleek, pointed-toe boots for a more formal setting, or a more rugged style for a business casual environment.
Accessories: A leather belt with a stylish buckle, a bolo tie, or a Western-style hat (depending on the formality) can add a touch of Western flair.
